Messenger’s Conservation team specialises in the conservation and repair of historic buildings and monumental sculpture.
Our highly-skilled team undertakes conservation of all aspects of the building envelope, including stone, mortars and plaster, timber supports and applied decoration. With extensive specialist experience, we have a reputation for providing the high levels of technical knowledge and service demanded in the heritage sector.

As part of the conservation process we consider the underlying causes for the loss of historic fabric and formulate action plans to prevent and minimise further failure. Conservation treatments are specific to each individual project and may typically involve environmental control, housekeeping measures, consolidation and stabilisation, cleaning, repair and reintegration.
