Askham Village Community is a specialist dementia unit and neurological rehabilitation unit for people with brain and spinal injuries, whilst also providing long term care for people with physical disabilities.
Messenger was awarded the contract for the construction of two new accommodation buildings within the grounds of an existing care home.
The project was in three phases: – construction of a new staff accommodation and welfare building; a new 24 bedroom building with 4 step down flats, complete with lifts and associated facilities; Demolition of the rear of Askham House, full refurbishment of the original house and construction of a new 2 storey extension to the rear complete with lifts and associated facilities and external works.
