Lord Leycester Hospital Warwick

Lord Leycester Hospital is a Grade I Listed building set within a Grade II Listed garden in Warwick. It is a medieval treasure with a 700 year unbroken legacy of people living on this site and a precious collection of half-timbered buildings. The first building was the original chapel, built in 1123.

Project Summary

Messenger was awarded the contract for the repair, improvement and refurbishment works to the Grade I Listed Lord Leycester Hospital. 

The works comprised of reroofing and repairs to the roof; structural repairs to the historic timber frame; repairs / new plastering in lime plasters / renders; new M&E including heating systems and underfloor heating; new passenger lifts; new joinery; metalwork; flooring including timber, stone and repairs to historic flooring; decoration internally and externally; conservation works including repairs to masonry, adaption of timber doors and windows, metal casement windows and leaded lights; landscaping.
